MARS
Approximately 200 viewers passed through the Books-A-Million parking lot to get a brief glimpse at the Red Planet before it went behind the clouds for good. Early arrivers were able to see Mars and the planet Venus before pesky clouds invaded the airspace. Most viewers enjoyed seeing slides of previous star parties and seeing the telescopes. Fifteen telescopes were on hand.
A special thanks to Books-A-Million, Louisiana Tech, Delta Community College, West Monroe High School, and all the OVAL members for making the event a success.
