OVAL members were treated to a fine and quite informative lecture and show at the Louisiana Tech Planetarium, Tuesday, December 20. Sixteen people were on hand to watch the Christmas show followed by a fantastic lecture by Dr. Natalia Zotov, a leading expert on the LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory) facility in Livingston, LA. Dr. Zotov's lecture was followed by a question and answer session. Wow! Some of those discussions were really intense! The show concluded with a visit to the ringed planet Saturn.
